Or I Will Run Thou Over

Hallelujah! Another glorious Sunday plate. It comes to us courtesy of Smoochiefrog. She thinks it's from New Jersey, so they get the points today on this one. I am getting a lot of religious plates sent in so I might just have to do this every Sunday. She writes:

I'm not sure if we have a really submissive woman here or a very devout church goer. Either way, it frightened me.

It kind of scares me too. File this under: Loving the Lord.

Question: How do we know that the "him" in question is God. What if it's that other dude? You know, the dude in the red tights and horns? Either way...scary!

devout church goer = scary? really?

Thanks for the linky love!

And in response to Chris above, my family is Christian and we attend church every Sunday. The really hardcore, fire & brimstone people are what led my husband to stay away from Christ for the first almost 30 years of his life. So yeah, they can be quite scary.

which part is scary? the part where the person who goes to church thinks anyone who tries to obey God's will is automatically all about "fire and brimstone"?

that is pretty scary :)

No the people who try and shove Christ down people's throats from their high horse. They're the ones who are scary.

Feel free to email me if you'd like to discuss this further. My email is behind the picture.

There is definitely a negative image out there for all Christians, which is due to a few bad ones (which you mentioned). So I speak up for all us non-fire and brimstone ones when I get the chance.

If you want to e-mail me, I'd be happy to, because I'm always open to talking to new people, but I don't think there's much left to discuss about this.

Oh I'm totally non hellfire and brimstone.

Show Christ's love is how to do it.

shouldn't the title be "or my car runneth over"?

Yeah. Not to mention the fact that people are not going to obey God just by telling them to (on a license plate, no less!). Moses learned that the hard way. We need God to change our hearts, so we want to obey him. Thank God, he loves the world, and if we turn to him, he will work in us.
