Keeping up with our diarrhea theme

Ah! Tis the season for snow all over your poop-themed vanity plate. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be this-- Google your license plate's phrase before you make it a reality. I mean, your nickname could be slang for crotch, or in this case something entirely different than what you were intending. The definition of turista is:

traveler's diarrhea, esp. as experienced by some visitors to Latin America.

All I have to say is: Really?

Good catch, Squidrox.

Yeah, I want to know what these people were really thinking. I mean, who is proud of traveler's diarrhea?

I'm guessing they were going for turista, also being the Spanish for tourist...without realizing that it also signals that they didn't read the travelers guide entry on "don't drink the water".
But seriously who would want to openly advertise being a tourist. Of course in my mind the word tourist just conjures up images of awful Hawaiian shirts and cameras on neck straps.

Isn't this also the name of a scary movie where hot 20-somethings are murdered on vacation?

Yeah, but why put that on your license plate? The moral of the story is always ALWAYS google it. Because that movie title on your plate could also mean you have diarrhea.

"Turista" to me just means tourist. And yes it does make me think about that awful awful horror movie which I imagine really upset the Brazilian tourist board.

Ewwww. I had no idea. I thought Turistas were traveling divas. I guess you learn something new every day.

After my original shock at this plate, I thought about that crappy movie, too. But if you were really THAT kind of turista, you sure wouldn't be in Ohio in the middle of a snow storm!
