Rollin' on Nubs

Interpretation: PWN NUBS = pwn n00bs

Last I checked, you pwn n00bs, not nubs. I always thought nubs were, like, what is left after an amputation, no? I don't know if I would feel too good pwning a nub. For those of you who are confused, pwn means "owned" and n00bs refers to people who are new at a particular website or game. I believe this is what the internets calls l33t speak. So basically, the moral of this story is that VANITY PLATES ARE L4M3, even for the uber nerds.

Thanks to Squidrox for this photo.

Even though I am not a gamer, I knew exactly what that plate said. How sad. Imma go hide my face in shame now for being a closet nerd.

This is the kind of HLP that makes me cross! (you just hate not being able to figure it out) Well, whatever, to me this is just (getting all huffy and indignant now) way too obtuse! (that's because you totally don't get or understand l33t speak). Oh, I give up...

see.. I am glad you told me that.. I thought pwn was short for Pawn and I wasn't quite sure what to think of nubs except Pawn Nubs?? WTF does THAT mean?!?!?!

Lol, I'm with Watercolor and Dizzblnd on this one.

NOW I know PWN does not mean PAWN.

Phew, now I can sleep at night.

I knew the PWN...I was at a loss for NUB though! I would have been at a loss for N00b too though. Thanks for the free knowledge!

I just found your site and I LOVE it! :)

Oh, man. This one reminds me of my ex-boyfriend, who loved his World of Warcraft a little TOO much. I'm surprised this license plate exists, though...it's on a car, which implies that the gamer (who, I'm assuming, is fairly hardcore, otherwise he'd never have chosen this plate) actually goes somewhere. In the case of most hardcore gamers I know, their idea of going somewhere is to get up off their ass, grab a can of something from the fridge, and go join yet another lame-ass raid--none of which, by the way, requires the use of a vehicle. So this plate is QUITE a surprise to me. :)

"Nub" is a regional variation on "noob".

What about if the U was supposed to be the long vowel sound, as in, "cue," say?

Although, that takes a lot of thinking . . .
