The 97th Greatest Film Of All Time (really?)

Okay, I am going to be honest with you. I've never seen the Blade Runner movies, but this plate is really funny to me. Why? Well we all know how much an airbrushed decal enhances your vanity plate message—the shading, the shadowing of the script font, the way it races across your truck bed, that blob behind the word "Blade," pure genius. Plus, there is no Blade Runner 3. Oh that’s right. YOU are the Blade Runner 3. Silly me. Good luck hunting down and "retiring" escaped replicants on Earth. Nerd-alert.

Jason writes:

My wife and I saw this truck yesterday afternoon in San Mateo, CA. I've always enjoyed the Harrison Ford movie of the same name, but I wasn't aware that there were more parts of the story. Apparently, this is the 3rd part. Who knew?

I certainly didn't, but thanks for bringing it to our attention.

There needs to be an E at the end of BLAD. Blad is not a word.

I think that's meant to be a circular saw blade behind "Blade"...at least that's kind of what it looks like. Maybe this guy has an axe to grind? *teehee*
I have a feeling his previous vehicle was Blade Runner 2.
And I just have to say that tailgate murals=100% fail. We have a truly ugly one parked across the street from us. If only they had a vanity plate I'd be sending you a picture in a heartbeat.

Can I also add that those back of the window murals on trucks are a fail as well. You know what I am talking about... the ones with the wolf howling at the moon, or the classic bald eagle.

Haha! I kept think BLADE...not Blade Runner. Either way.

Nothing like being redundant...
I bet he has a Blade Runner tattoo as well!
This reminds me of people who have their car type on their plates, like My LEXUS on a Lexus. Doy dee doy!

Wow. I'm both appalled and highly amused. Perhaps he's really a Blade fan and got confused and added the "Runner"? Nothing like a little vampire dedication... No? He's just weird then ;)

To add to Jamie's comment above...has anyone else noticed the growing trend of "rolling memorials" plastered across the back windows of cars? "In Memory" decals with dates and pictures? Anyone??

(word verif: "remnal" I don't want my last Earthly remnal to be on the back window of my family's car.)

First of all, that movie is considered a classic.
Secondly, there weren't any sequels.
Thirdly, from the sawblade image on the truck, I'd say this guy (or girl) was in tree services or construction. Perhaps "Blade Runner" is even the name of his company.

Thank goodness for the airbrushed decal...I'd misread that plate as bladder something or other.

HOW CAN ANYONE HATE BLADE RUNNER???

BEST MOVIE EVER!

''I've seen things you humans wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-Beams glitter in the dark near the Thanauser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.''

yeah... this truck is lame.. I like the movies though

theres no MOVIES btw, only one. with many different cuts.

Lady Styx, you may have hit on the reason for the decal! Before the airbrushing to confirm that they are not just Blade Runner, but Blade Runner 3 they were constantly approached by pharmacy reps offering them Detrol or Elmiron.

wv: bequips - when, in leaving items to your heirs, your will takes on a clever and witty tone.

Actually, there are Blade Runner 2, 3, and 4. Not movies, just books. But all are official sequels to the movie.

LOL @ Jen H! More than likely!!

I was gonna say maybe this is a snowplowing truck in a fleet of 3 or so trucks...but, then I saw California. Yeah, I'm at a loss.
