Rejected

The following is a list of license plates banned by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles between Jan. 1, 2007, and Jan. 29, 2009. Prepare to laugh your asses off. Our thanks goes to Georgina S. for sending this in to us.

I am shocked that someone would think they could get away with some of these plates. Where do you think you are? Virginia? (ziiiiing!)

I'm going to go with NOBITCH. I am glad there are people out there keeping the DMV on their toes

OK, that list is RIDICULOUSLY long. I can't possibly read all of them. However, I must admit there were a few that didn't make sense to ban, or I just need to read the Urban Dictionary a little more.

I used to work at the Ohio BMV, and it cracked me up what people used to try to put through.

My fave personal experience is the woman who wanted 'S AND M'. She insisted that it was initials, and was seriously irate that we wouldn't let her do it. And claimed not to understand why.

(if we let one through and then the 'big' BMV denied it, our agency would have to eat the cost, and the approving manager would get a writeup)

My favorite accidental (just happened to come up in sequence) plate was on a motorcycle: 'CU4BJ'

OMG that was 7 pages long!! I couldn't get past the first two.

Remind me never to go to Ohio, they seem like a bunch of freaks!

One of my professors had a vanity plate that said "PB4UGO". It somehow got through the DMV.

Some of them I just don't really get (why couldn't you have RN0 if you're a nurse?) but others are hilarious.

This list almost made my lunch come out my nose

Look, if I can get at least one person to shoot their lunch out their nose, I know it's been a good day. Thanks platty.

Sometimes I want to move back to Virginia just so I can submit better plates. That, and Massachusetts sucks.

Yikes, that's a lot of plates. I'm going to have to go back and puzzle some of the less obvious ones out later.

Frankly, I don't understand why some of them were denied. I mean, "XXXVIII"? Is there some significance to the number 38 that I'm not aware of? And why can't poor "ZOMBIEX" celebrate his/her undead pride?

Okay, there must be a LOT of loops that I'm out of...many of these left me scratching my chin, thoroughly stumped. Should I also share that I easily got quite a few of the dirtiest ones? Probably not.

*laffz* Maybe they were just WISHING they were in Virginia. Seven whole pages...wow...I'll have to come back and read them all. Some of them were extremely funny.

4TATAS gave me a giggle, is the vehicle in question owned by two women, or a cow?

There were quite a few I didn't get, like "BEANRN". I parsed it as "be an RN (registered nurse)". Am I missing something?
