Your purse is made of what?!

Yes, that says HAIRBAG.

Like a purse made of our hair? Or worse, bag full of hair? My goodness, that is unpleasant to think about. Although it might make a nice anonymous gift. You know, like a burning sack of poop on your porch.

The Urban Dictionary defines a Hairbag as: a veteran cop who is a bitter and burned-out complainer. So why are you advertising that on your vanity plate? Bizarre...

Thanks for the plate Kate M!

Somehow I suspect the Urban Dictionary definition isn't what they were after.

It's been a long time since I sat (aka slept) in Anthropology 101 but I seem to remember that in some culture giving someone a sack of hair is meant to be a curse.

Although that's so darn obscure I'm not sure why you'd want to put it on a license plate. Maybe they have a cat that sheds a lot??

Shoot, I was hoping that was a South Carolina plate, because then it might be this person:

Reminds me of an insult from a Southern woman to her daughter on L&O:

"GIRL, you are DUMBER than a bag of hair!"

Google "hair bag" with a space.

Those suckers retail for close to $200.

So the title of the post probably is what the plate is about. The meaning the owner intended gets across only to people who can or wish they could buy Prada, or work in that industry.

Ergo it means something really different to most people.
