Why?

Kate has been finding some real gems lately. UP OURS while obviously hilarious, still confuses me a bit. The phrase "up yours" is usually stated when one wishes that another would shove a particular issue up the other's (um, how do I say this nicely?? *Opens thesaurus...) poop factory.

So, let me get this straight. By saying UP OURS you wish to shove that particular issue up your own?

And it doesn't look like there a missing "Y" either. I know if I saw one that did say "UPYOURS" (in a 7-digit state of course) I'd be tempted to sneak up with a bottle of White Out...but when they do it to themselves...well, it's just plain hard to figure out.

Maybe it's an attempt to stop road rage by beating them to the punch?

Well, eff me, now I've seen it all. Is there also a sign in the window that reads "Martyrs on Board"?

I'm thinking they know they are horrible drivers and realize they often get the middle figner salute are planning ahead so they are saying, "Yeah, yeah, we know... Up ours..."

I thought it might have started off as "UPOURS", as in "You Pours", and someone at the DMV just added a space...
