Identity Crisis

You know, this is funny for a number of reasons. The first is that you put the word 1ND1ANA on your Virginia license plate. Being a native Hoosier myself, I do agree with you that Indiana is pretty swell. But is Virginia really that bad?

Also, I'm enjoying the fact that you used the oh-so-clever tactic of replacing "I"s with "1"s on your vanity plate (a popular technique of your kind). It's amazing to think that in Virginia the plate INDIANA was already taken, causing you to improvise. Our thanks goes to Michelle M. for sending in this photo.

Have you ever spotted an identity crisis on the road?

  1. I don't know if Virginia is one but some states don't use the letter I on their plates.
Oregon used to be this way, not sure if it still is.

  4. in virginia you can use the letter I, and no Virginia is NOT that bad!

one of the reasons people use the 1's is to make it harder for the cops to read their licence plates. i see some guy quite often and his plate is 1I1I1I1I it makes it harder to read when he is speeding away in his sports car.

  5. @Miss Malbec that is quite a sneaky driver. Maybe O0O0O would be a good one too.

  9. Jury's still out on whether Virginia's that bad or not. It IS , however, and awesome place (especially the closer to DC you get) for horrible plate hunting ;)

  13. Virginia does allow an "I" on the plates, but to respond to the blogger....

Yes, VA sucks. I assure you.

I applaud your site. I love personalized tags.

VA has some of the best [so I noticed!] and I can't wait to submit mine.
