She writes:
My husband and I have come up with a few interpretations of this plate:
1. This driver is a fan of both Nine Inch Nails and the American Automobile Association.
2. This driver's name is Nina and she is a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
3. When spoken to, she prefers that you say her name à la the Stanley Kowalski character's "Stellaaa!" in A Streetcar Named Desire: Ninaaa!
4. NINA was taken.
I think am going to go with AAA's biggest Nine Inch Nails fan. There is no way we'll make it to the show without this triptik.
These name plates annoy me to no end. Also the ones that say, MY V8 or MAZDA. ARGH. Does anyone care the make of your car? UGHHH. I do like this site though.
ReplyDeleteAAA triptiks were the shizz before Google maps stole all their thunder.
ReplyDeleteHead like a hole, indeed...
ReplyDelete"Does anyone care the make of your car? UGHHH."
ReplyDeleteI hate when they do that especially since the car usually does that on its own. The only thing better (that was sarcasm)is when they put the year on there too.
Im partial to the number one choice too.
ReplyDeleteUnless we spot her significant other in a "wife beater" undershirt, I'm going with option #1 also.
ReplyDeleteas a former vanity plate holder of 9INCHNLS back in 1991 (before most people really heard of Nine Inch Nails) Hey I was 20 and stupid what do you want? I fully endorse option #1. A huge NIN fan that is a AAA member. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWV fentsaid = Fent said I should take a picture of my old vanity plate to send to you...no. not really
I have to tell you about this plate I saw today since I couldn't take a picture of it (I was walking, they were driving). It said "CAR." No, I thought it was an elephant...
ReplyDeleteI think number 1 is the best answer.
