Driver: I want the plate to say CUTEKIDS. I want everyone to know that I have cute kids, and that makes me awesome.
DMV worker: Ma'am, if you would like the exclusive bird and pine cone "Vacationland" plate you can only have 7 characters on your plate.
Driver: Uh, okay. There must be an expendable vowel here somewhere. Let's see. How about that E.
DMV worker: Whatever you say. [mutters under breath] Idiots.
Maybe they just work out, and have a low body fat ratio!?
ReplyDeleteI love this blog! I live in Richmond, Virginia and see vanity plates allll the time. It's just so hard to get a chance to snap pics of them.
ReplyDeleteTwo I saw this morning:
LVMYCRV. Really??
Then there was one I couldn't figure out: CHLST1S
Anyone?
If they had left the U out instead they would have had CTEKIDS... City Kids...in Maine? Nahh... no one would have believed that.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't even a "special" plate -- it's the normal DMV issue for Maine. I saw more vanity plates while I lived there than any other state I ever lived in (and I've lived in six states). Cleveland is getting close though...there are a lot here. Oh, and having lived in Maine, I'm not the least bit surprised that some idiot put this on their plate.
ReplyDeletemaybe they have some very emo kids?
ReplyDeleteEven CUTEKDS would have worked...unless there is some other vain mom that already took that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but you're all way off the mark. If you even KNEW how many pediatric plastic surgeons lived in Maine, you'd totally get that this guy does nose jobs for 5-year-olds. Geez. Duh. Guy clearly needs to advertise his services. I was ready to get a little nip-tuck done on my tot after seeing this plate for sure.
ReplyDeleteA vote for zero population growth?
ReplyDeleteI was so gonna go the same route as denisewalks...
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to QT, which is a perfectly good abbreviation for "cute"? Of course, being normal and sensible, it was probably already taken. Oh wait, normal, sensible people don't usually get vanity plates. :P
ReplyDeleteJanelle, there are a toonnnn of vanity plates in Virginia. Note that there's a lot of VA plates on this blog! I live in DC so there are plenty of vanity VA plates I see on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteErika, I've noticed a lot of Virginia plates on this blog, too. I suppose it's partly to do with how many there are, and partly to do with the location(s) of people who read this blog.
ReplyDeletenah, it's only $10 in Virginia - that's why
