Yeah, the compensating joke gets lame. All it really does is mock everyone that's not part of the joker's vision of homogeny. You get mocked for having an expensive car because it's compensating, but if you have a Yaris, you get mocked for having a tiny car. I guess people only want others to drive a Taurus.
