Mmm this metal is crunchy

This week is Thanksgiving so I though I'd present some vanity plates over the next couple of days dealing with what we Americans will likely be doing this Thursday: Stuffing our faces with FOOD.

Here's an idea. Why don't we just stuff our minds with hideous food-themed vanity plates instead? Zero calories!

Let's start off with some appetizers...
PICKLES is from Clayton W. and as you can see it looks a bit funny. That's because it's from Australia. We're glad to see the plate rage has spread world-wide.

Our second plate is from Allison A. It reads KRISPIE, as in Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. I only hope you tried to follow this car until doughnuts started to fly out the back. Um, seriously, that would be the best day of my life.

The last plate today is CA-V-R (Caviar) and was captured by April H. This plate really confuses me. What is the appeal of labeling your car with pricey salted fish eggs? Or are you really that smug?

Gosh, I'm not so hungry anymore...

You Look Like I Need A Drink

Generally, I have rules here on VP:CI8COL. Rule number one is probably no hard-to-read, blurry, barely visible cell phone photos. The category in which this photo falls. Truthfully though, this is a horrible license plate in every sense of the phrase, so I had to bend the rules.

Jackie R. agrees with me on this one:

Saw this license plate on the way to a store with a friend of mine. I apologize for the bad quality, I took it with a sidekick which is all I had at the time. It says UGLY and it's a Rhode Island license plate. My friend and I joked - at least they have accepted themselves for who they are, and are willing to tell the rest of the world what they have come to terms with.

At least they have some modesty, unlike some former guests here.

Irony

So to answer last week's question: What would Jesus drive? We have finally found the answer: A black Cadillac Escalade (of course!). Our friend Julie writes:

Mr. & Ms. HLP,

About two summers ago I found JESUS!

Literally, in the parking garage of a mall. He drives a brand-new black Escalade apparently. It's not as funny as some of the other vanity plates out there, but Rhode Islanders take their plates very seriously, so this dude must have had some BIG connections in HIGH places to get his choice through. I guess it's all about who you know!

Thanks Julie. This plate is a great addition to Loving the Lord Sunday.
