Your vanity plate sucks

BDA BNG1 (Bada Bing!) is from platty. Bada bing is a phrase often used to imitate the sound of a drum roll and cymbal crash after a joke. Isn't that also the name of the strip club in the HBO series, the Sopranos? Yep.

Your vanity plate sucks, ZZZINNG! (Plate snapped by Candice).

And so do your stock choices! BOOOYAH! (From TheWordWire).

Save the drama for your momma

Sarah sent in ATTI2D (Attitude). Really? That 2 is going to make my head explode.

LadyStyx sent in ADITUDE. Speel it wit mee naw! A-D-I-T-U-D-E. Duh!

If I can think of one thing this world needs more of, it's drivers with attitude, poor spelling skills, and vanity plates.

When you can't afford that Hummer to compensate.

Note that this ITSHUGE (It's huge) vanity plate is on the back of a Smart Car, one of the smallest on the road. So I wonder what is so huge? Hmmm? Any ideas?

Oh. Wait. Eww.

(Thanks for the plate, platty.)

Looks like someone forgot to remove your probe

Ah yes, aliens... Is there a creature in this universe so misunderstood than you? Vanity plate owners, perhaps?

AREA 051 on the back of this mothership is from Sara S. Area 51 is a military base in Nevada. According to wikipedia, it's secretive nature and undoubted connection to classified aircraft research, together with reports of unusual phenomena, have led Area 51 to become a focus of modern UFO and conspiracy theories. Some of the activities mentioned in such theories at Area 51 include: (1) The storage, examination, and reverse engineering of crashed alien spacecraft, the study of their occupants (living and dead), and the manufacture of aircraft based on alien technology. And (2) Meetings or joint undertakings with extraterrestrials.

The Word Wire sent in UFO 007. She writes: Shhhh. Don't tell anyone -- this guy is totally on the DL. He's a spy. A UFO spy. I'm sure that's top secret stuff.

Wear your seat belt, dude. It makes it much harder for the alien beams to suck you out.

So basically, you hate hating haters.

I am delighted to bring you this batch of H8 plates today. STP H8TN is from Katie O. That extra T makes my head spin. I mean, it's bad enough you use the 8, but last I checked "eight" includes an ending T. Maybe they are starting a new campaign against Tennessee? Stop. Hate. Tennessee.

NOH8N (No hatin') is from Gina T. I would have to disagree with this plate. YES IH8. STOP H8N (Stop Hatin') is from Tracie. She writes: They have a good reason for having this plate; they drive like a jackass and incur a fair amount of hate from me.

Hahaha, I can't stop "loving" this photo. Kerstyne writes: I saw this car while on campus and couldn't resist. I guess the DB that the car is covered in stands for some sort of purse company, but all I could think was Douche Bag.

Mmm, this grape haterade is *so* delicious.

We're not arrogant; We're just better than you

Football season is upon us, so we're going to celebrate with some fanatical vanity plates.

PLSWIN (please win) is a Green Bay Packers vanity plate and comes to us from fivetomatoes. At least they are asking nicely. It wouldn't surprise me to see a WINNOW out there somewhere though. Those Packer fans are scary.

R8DRH8R (Raider Hater) comes to us from PoetrySue. Hey, what is silver and black, silver and black, and silver and black? A drunken Raider fan rolling down the bleachers.

And finally, this Cleavland Browns plate is from Mark F.

FPITBG means exactly what you think it does: F*** Pittsburgh. Awesome job not catching that one, Ohio DMV.

Even more football plates for your enjoyment: I'll have one Roethlisberger With Ketchup and Cheese

Whassup, pudding cup?

(Not much. Wasssup wit you?)

Marisa writes:

Nothing says proper respect and love for your Lord like addressing him in slang.

I guess this could also mean "It's up to to God", but I kind of like it better as "S'up to God".

Holla at your Lord!

Ferfect

This first plate comes from one of my favorite sites, Cute with Chris. I am re-posting it here, but click on the photo to go to his site. I promise hours of entertainment.

Jim in OHIO writes: "...My boyfriend Joey took this picture in the Chapel Hill Mall parking lot. A CCL obviously rocks out in this cat mobile on her drive to the mall to buy yarn to knit kitty cat sweaters."

Since everyone seemed to enjoy yesterday's cat theme, I thought another cat post was in order. The CwC submission was just icing on my cat cake. Meow, let's get down to business...
How many cats do you need to be classified as a crazy cat lady? I think if you have 9, well, you are beyond help. (From Gina T)LadyStyx saw CATZRLE (Cats Rule) and sent this to me last night. If you are getting this kind of phrase plastered on your car, you might be a crazy cat lady.

KTY GAL (Kitty Gal?) comes to us from Tracy. I know this might be "Kentucky Gal," but let's stick to the theme here. This driver loves the kittehs. They taste just like chicken. Finally, I am submitting my own work. It's been a while, I know, but I lost my camera and had to find a replacement. Good thing I found one in time to capture KAT KR8Z. Not only are you crazy, but you misused your 8 there (Cat Craightzee?). INSANE.

I think I am going to add the word ferfect to the urban dictionary. The state of being both perfect and cat themed; An oxymoron.

UPDATE: Ferfect!

John #316

Happy Easter, friends!

JOHN316, referring to the bible verse I'm sure. The problem I have with the plate is that people who've never heard of John 3:16 (non-believers, you would have to assume) still have no idea what you are referring to, so your point is a confusing one. We are glad that you are Lovin' the Lord though. Keep the religious plates coming my platerazzi!

Now don't you have a church service to attend?

I Found Jesus, He's in Vegas

So this is where he's been hiding out all these years - NEVADA!

Doesn't this look like Black Jesus? I had to really force myself to see Be Like Jesus in this. The whole thing is just confusing, especially that spiked vanity plate holder. One thing can be agreed on though, this driver is definitely Lovin' the Lord.

Thanks Sue!

Worst. Pageant. Ever.

Here we have a young math enthusiast. She was crowned Ms. Math 1996 at the Nevada State Fair. I hear she won the talent portion by reciting pi to the 1000th decimal place. If she really works at it, someday she can rise to the rank of Doctor Math. Or with some really hard work, she'll be at the level of this vanity plate owner, MATHGOD. Bow down and worship me, I can solve some really hard equations.

MS MATH: Gina T.

MATHGOD: Taylor D.

Too Fast, Too Fidgety

Here are some plates that make me second guess your ability to drive, which is always a nice feeling. Watch your back, dear readers of this blog. There are some crazies on the roads.

Example #1DEADMN: If you aren't alive, you probably should not be driving. Check his pulse. Also, your bumper sticker, "CATS NOT KIDS," is quite disturbing. Actually, with an exception to the koala, they're all a little creepy.

Example #2
FIDGET: As defined by thefreedictionary.com - to behave or move nervously or restlessly. Sounds like a great driving quality. Quick, let's swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid that roadkill.

Example #3NO YES: Yes, we all love indecisiveness, don't we? Especially on the roads. Turn left! No, right! Take exit! Decide half a second later to not take the exit! Merge back onto interstate!

Examples #4 and #5
200-MPH and LV2XLR8: Speed kills. The submitter of 200-MPH claims this is a state issued plate. She also admits that people assume this driver can get her Honda Accord up to 200 MPH. For the record, I've tried it, and it's impossible. And expensive.

Love to accelerate? *shakes head in utter disappointment.

Examples #6 and #7
ASYLUM and PSYKOTIC: Mental insanity = not an ideal driving skill! Kolleen who sent in ASYLUM writes to us:

[ASYLUM] is actually my friend's car; he has had many stupid license plates, including DRAKKAR and DRKNSS. loser!

Thanks to everyone for making this endless post possible:
DEADMN: Heidi
FIDGET: Tammy
NO YES: Poetry Sue
200-MPH: Kati K.
LV2XLR8: Joanne H.
ASYLUM: Kolleen

I'll have one Roethlisberger With Ketchup and Cheese

I couldn't decide who to cheer for during the Super Bowl yesterday. Then I realized that I could look to my vanity plate collection for guidance. So I concluded that the Steelers needed to win, because no one sent in a Cardinals plate. Then I drank a lot of beer.

Surprisingly this method worked. Thanks Jen H. for a perfectly timed submish!

Just because I spent 2 whole days archiving over 500 vanity plate submissions, I am going to bombard you with all of the losers from this year. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.
Here we have LVBRNCS. I assume your love is for the Denver Broncos. Or the Bronx? Or you love brown cats? I don't know. Any other c-words you can think of? Hm, never mind... Don't answer that last question.
Dem Bears stunk dis year, eh? Here we have a Bears Fan. I know this because of your license plate holder and decal, but to me, from afar it looks like you're into BEAR F'N. I'd like to buy an A for clarification please.
Sorry Dallas, you lose too.

Someone call a doctor!

Finally, we have what looks to be a transplanted Cheesehead driving around the state of Nevada. I am new to the state of Wisconsin myself, but I will never understand you people and your football.

The Dark Side... Of Vanity

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away but somehow in the future this nerd got a vanity plate for his shiny new podracer. Unfortunately, podracers aren't street legal so he settled for this plate on his F-150. And yes, I had to look up what a podracer was via Wookieepedia (Yes, I said Wookieepedia. I don't make this stuff up). I LOVE the fact that you used a 3 to replace a much needed E. Sigh. May the force bring you your E.

I could probably start a whole category of Star Wars plates, but frankly, I don't want to. The world (Er, galaxy?) does not need this sort of encouragement. Yes, I'm looking at you JEDI MOM.

Thanks PoetrySue!

Did It Hurt... ?

... When you fell from heaven?

I am assuming HEVNSNT means "Heaven Sent," but if you stare at this one a little longer other things start to come to mind. The first I thought of was "Heave and Snot" and then "Heaven's Nut." Another perfect example of why vanity plate word shortening usually is a bad idea.

This plate came to us courtesy of Poetry Sue in Nevada. I liked her email:

Here ya go! I hate plates like this... it might as well say God's Gift to the world... so snooty.

I think a lot of us agree with you Sue. Great work!

I've seen some old drivers, but this is ridiculous

Uh, this vanity plate is actually quite scary.

I am glad the driver of this car has decided to share his charming personality with the world. You know, I usually enjoy the little things that work against or enhance a driver's vanity plate message (i.e. temporary plates for Mr. Slacker, Mr. I WORK's decal, Truck nuts for the "white horse", Ritzy Me's bumper sticker), but this decoration just adds to your unpleasantness. Maybe a more appropriate item would be a strategically placed bumper sticker to the right of this plate that says "(IN THE TRUNK)."

Thanks for sending this one in Annalee-- creepiness indeed!

What Would Jesus Drive?

Interpretation: WELUV JC = We love Jesus Christ?

It's another post for Loving the Lord Sunday! Thank you, sara, for sending me a plethora of plates last week, including this one. We appreciate your enthusiasm.

I wonder, though. How many people mistake JC for something else in this case? Maybe the driver of this car is an N*SYNC fan (JC Chasez!!)? Joan Crawford enthusiast (ha)? What else do you think JC could stand for?

I Wish I Was Your Derivative, Because Then I Would Be Tangent to Your Curves

This is what you came up with when faced with the decision to be judged on an everyday basis? PI R SQ? And for those of you who need it - Interpretation: Pi R squared (formula for the area of a circle). You give a whole new meaning to "driving around in circles." HAR HAR.

Awesome choice. Now we are going to beat you up and take your lunch money.

Sent in by the lovely Sue. Fine, fine work, my friend!
