I prefer shoes with lights and velcro straps.

Tom M. sent in VLCRO (Velcro). He writes:

I can understand the "Animal Lover" vanity plate, but pledging your undying devotion to hook & loop technology? WTF?

Jennifer D. can also contribute to this phenomenon of drivers' devotions to hooks and loops:

LadyStyx too:

Because how else am I going to fasten these shoes?!

That's What She Said

Tom over at MINI-E #250 sent in this plate, TOOBIG with the comment, It's the antithesis of what I drive (and promote)! Check out Tom's blog and you'll see why this is true.

Clearly this person's life is defined by excess, to the point where they've called themselves out with this awful SUV and corresponding vanity plate. Might as well say LAME, if you ask me.

Don't be a gas-hole.

Today's plate (EF-OPEC) I stumbled upon randomly reading blogs, and when I saw it, I was delighted. The owner, Tom M. has gratefully offered his pictures, and his story to our readers. He writes:

I'm part of a test program of electric Mini Coopers, there are 500 of us in CA, NJ & NY. I just got the plates a few days ago and I have had so many people beep and give me the thumbs up I can't believe it. I even have seen two people taking pictures of it while I'm driving, crazy.

That's right my friends, it's completely electric. Totally. freaking. sweet. As someone who is quite fond of Earth, I salute your efforts in advancing this technology and sharing your story. I don't usually say this about vanity plates, but I love it; It's like icing on the cake. Thanks for sending the pictures in, Tom. You can check out his blog of #250 here.

Because religion and vanity go hand in hand

PRZ 2 GOD (Praise to God) was snapped for Lovin' the Lord Sunday by Lexi. The use of "Z" to mean "-aise" is a little nauseating.

Rhys sent in GR8GOD (Great God). She writes:

Just yesterday, I bought myself a spiffy new camera to carry around with me, and today what do I see on my way home from work but a Scion lovin' the lord! If I were a religious woman, I'd think it was a sign.

What is up with the -2? Religious math problem? Great God minus two = ??

Or I Will Run Thou Over

Hallelujah! Another glorious Sunday plate. It comes to us courtesy of Smoochiefrog. She thinks it's from New Jersey, so they get the points today on this one. I am getting a lot of religious plates sent in so I might just have to do this every Sunday. She writes:

I'm not sure if we have a really submissive woman here or a very devout church goer. Either way, it frightened me.

It kind of scares me too. File this under: Loving the Lord.

I Can Has Vanity Plate Pretteh Plz?

I really hate to admit this, but I kind of have some plate-envy here. This photo was snapped by the lovely Sara (plz to be giving credit n link wear deserved). I also really hate to admit that I regularly visit this site, and that, my internet friends, is where I learned to talk like an idiot.

Still, the plate is quite a nice one. This one goes out to all the polite drivers who wave to us to "go ahead" at a stop sign, let us change lanes, or use their turn signal appropriately. You passed up the opportunity to get plates like LRN2DRV or OMG MOVE, which is respectable. This plate is the kind of quick road-hug we need, and we appreciate that. One point for New Jersey. Make that eleben.

There really needs to be more lolspeak on the roads. Ya dig? KTHXBYE.
