Hardly.

D-PRIVED (Deprived) is from Karl M. He writes:

Notes: This car belonged to a very skinny accountant. Unfortunately, if he gets caught with the out of date registration, he will be deprived of (that is, fined) a substantial amount of dollars.

Deprived, according to the free dictionary, means: Lacking, especially of economic or social necessities.

So that missing "E" probably falls under "social necessity," eh?

Your sentence is a lifetime of ridicule.

The VERDICT...

is in...UBGUILTY (You be guilty).

Charges include misuse of proper grammar, being unoriginal, and having excessive douche bag tendencies.

Photo credit goes to Karl M. (VERDICT) and Lorraine R. (UBGUILTY).

Oh yes we did.

Sarah K. sent in MOM GINA. Not to be confused with a mangina, we are talking about mothers here.

Wait, what?! OM$%#@G this is so GROSS! If your name is Gina, I'm sorry, you are officially prohibited from placing words in front of your name, especially on a vanity plate.

Plus, you should never talk about your momma like that. EvAR.

(Got a misinterpretation you want to share? Sent it our way!)

Give me a... lobotomy.

William H. sent in this terror of the roadway, GIVME A... as in, "Give me a hummer." Also note the bumper sticker that reads "SIZE MATTERS," ginormous trailer hitch thingy, ladder, and roof spare tire storage.

I'm going to go scream into a pillow now...

Get smashed

Happy Halloween! We're going to celebrate today with our favorite gourd, the pumpkin.Or as MooseNuggette points out, this could mean something totally different: Maybe the guy pimps his relatives?

Oh how clever! Your car is orange! I haven't seen this before. Oh wait...

I have.

I think G8 PUMKN is supposed to mean "Great Pumpkin," but maybe you have one that guards your gate? Try an "R" next time (pirates will be grateful). Thank you Chevy for creating a color that inspires idiocy on vanity plates. I appreciate that.

Not pumpkin related, but we're on our last days of Halloween, so I thought this last one was appropriate, TRK TRET (Trick or Treat? I know, it's a stretch). Too bad this plate is only relevant one day of the year.

Hope you have a G8 time trick or treating.

To err is human; To arr is PIRATE

Ahoy! It's September 19, and you hopefully know what that means: International Talk Like A Pirate Day! If you don't know how to talk like a pirate, maybe some of these vanity plates can help... ARRMATEY is from Sydney J. "Arr matey" simply means, I agree my friend. Aye, aye Captain is also equivalent.

Pirates arrrr the scallywags doin' the drinking, plundering, and making people walk the plank! This plunderer made a blunder with that extra T, no? I think PIR8 would have sufficed. Ye old pirates aren't so good at spelling and grammARRR.
Melani X. clears PYRETTE up for us: So...she's like a Rockette with a peg leg and an eye patch? Now THAT'S talent!

Or maybe a wench with a nice booty. YOHOHO and a bottle of rum. Or grog as the pirates like to call it. This plate, in addition to PIR8T, were captured by LadyStyx.

As for me and Mr. HLP? We talk like pirates everyday, YARR HARR HARR!

Just for fun, Pirate Name Generator.

You Lie!

There are certain types of vehicles that seem to attract the kind of people who get vanity plates. The Ford Mustang is definitely one of them.

We start with XPNSVE from Kelly T. She writes: [This plate] is just plain ridiculous. I mean seriously, how expensive could a Mustang be when they're almost as common as my Accord? This guy was getting off the highway in Scottsdale, AZ (a place where a BMW would be considered a daily driver.)

What you don't know is that the trunk is filled with gold bars and Cristal. And leprechauns. And broken dreams.

GIDDYUP is from Kathy in VA. You know, because a mustang is a horse. HAR HAR HAR.

Another, hey-my-car-is-a-horse plate. WONELLI (Whoa Nelly!) is from Alison B. I can't find where that phrase originates, but I do know it's what you shout at your horse when you want it to slow down. Argh. Too. Much. Thinking.

Girrrrrrl, watch out for MZ ATUDE (Ms. Attitude)! She will misspell your way into insanity. Plate snapped by Karl M.

I don't own a toothbrush

NASTY-V comes to us from Cassie. I have a couple of thoughts on what "V" could stand for. I think you probably have some thoughts too. I also found an entry in the Urban Dictionary for "Nasty V," but I don't know if I'm entirely comfortable with linking to it, so go there and search it for yourself. (Warning! Not for the children!!)

Nasty, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is something described as disgustingly filthy or physically repugnant. Sounds like a great idea for a vanity plate. Thanks for sharing, NASTY-V!

Originality. Priceless.

How unique are you if everyone else is doing the same exact thing? Well, I shouldn't say the exact same thing... vanity plates wouldn't be vanity plates without their creative interpretations and blatant misspellings. B UNEAK (Be unique) is from Meg G.

Yes, be unique, just like everybody else.

Jennifer D. sent us UN1QUE. Yes, we get it. The "1" is an "I" so.very.unique. Actually, we've seen this techn1que before.

Karl M. sent in YOU-NEEK with this accompanying joke: How do you catch a unique rabbit? You neek up on him!

One of the first submissions to our site was very UNEEK. Check it out!

Creepy, No Doubt

I'm sort of sensing a theme for the last couple of days: "People I Don't Want To Meet. Ever."

HEYBEYB (Hey Baby) comes to us from Alison B. This might be a Gwen Stephani fan, but could also be that loser from the bar last night, screaming out the side of his truck at you.

DRM LUVR = Dream Lover (Unless you are really into DRM, and then we'll have to put you in a whole other category, nerd.)

Please, please, please do not use the word "lover" in conversation unless your name is Mariah (and even then we'll still think you're a little weird). Doesn't it just give you the creeps? I've warned you about this before, haven't I? (Plate sent in by Leah M.)

What about chocolate?

Priorities. Sigh.

Donna write to us: I thought he stopped driving it to work, and I thought of setting up an undercover operation to go to his house to find it, but I lucked out. So here it is, the HLP to end all HLPs, *Joe's Viper. He does not have a significant other that I am aware of (suprisingly).

*Name changed to protect the guilty.

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful

We're so cool that even ice cubes are jealous.

Sara S. sent us OSO COOL. Try not to roll your eyes. I know, this is going to be hard.

I don't know if it gets any more annoying than this. ME-SEXY was taken by platerazzo Donna F.

Who are these people? Don't you just want to find them and say, "Hey! You know what is sexy, ma'am? Proper grammar is sexy." I can just hear her response now: Me have no idea what you talking about!

Stay classy, platerazzi. Stay classy.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am

I am assuming MC LOVIN was already taken, or this car is filled with McNuggets and runs on Shamrock Shakes.

Stephanie S. sent us WOW GAL: All I can say is, "WOW!"

You know what would be excellent? An L and an E.

Abuv spell check.
XTRMWOW (Exreme Wow!) = XTRM headache.

Your purse is made of what?!

Yes, that says HAIRBAG.

Like a purse made of our hair? Or worse, bag full of hair? My goodness, that is unpleasant to think about. Although it might make a nice anonymous gift. You know, like a burning sack of poop on your porch.

The Urban Dictionary defines a Hairbag as: a veteran cop who is a bitter and burned-out complainer. So why are you advertising that on your vanity plate? Bizarre...

Thanks for the plate Kate M!

Not Responsible For Any Compressed, Bruised, Or Displaced Organs

Welcome to the first edition of Vanity Plate Matchmaker!

Bachelor #1 enjoys giving hugs, abbreviating words, merging at 38 MPH, and putting stupid messages on the back of his car.

Bachelor #2 loves using letters to represent affection and driving in the middle of two lanes completely sober.

Bachelor #3 enjoys long slow drives along the beach and ignoring the cars lined up behind him honking. He also frequently drives and texts, you know, so you never feel lonely.

Alright ladies, who do you choose?

All three of these plates came from different people, but they came skipping out of my inbox hand-in-hand. Get me out of this nightmare. Although, in some twisted way I want to see LVAHUG and GV HUGS touching bumpers affectionately.

One whose IQ exceeds his weight

Nerd alert (a l33t nerd, no less)! The platerazzi who snapped this one writes to us:

This "nerd" doesn't know how to drive. Probably should read the driver's license test prep material at least once. First they cut me off... then slam on the brakes... and eventually after about 5 minutes make a left turn without ever indicating.

That's right. Get the plate rage out my dears. Thanks for the submission Karl M.!

Mr. Personality, You're So Ugly

Interpretation: IM2BZ4U = I'm too busy for you

The wonderful readers of this blog do some really stunning work. I love opening my inbox to find treasures like this one. IM2BZ4U comes from Shannon. She writes:

This picture was taken at a Wal-Mart parking lot in PA, obviously this person was not too busy to think of this [loser] license plate or to go to Wal-Mart. I can only hope this person is too busy to have children, it's important to keep the [loser] gene contained.

It's good to see I've fueled some other people's plate rage fires. I am just so proud. *tear

Most people would consider this a bad personality trait, so why would you put this on your car for the world to see? I know, because you don't need anymore friends.

Do These Cargo Pockets Make My Thighs Look Fat?

Our first plate from Pennsylvania.

Hey bro, let's go get some Natty Ice and chill. What, brah!? You like Dave too? Like, I was so wasted last night. Bro-dawg, I totally banged that chick in #105. Dude, where did you get those Birkenstocks? I love how these clothes have, like, tears and wrinkles in them already! Sweeeet. I. AM. SO. PUMPED.

Way to go, broseph, you are the perfect type of person to own a vanity plate. Bro hug!

What are some of your favorite "bro" phrases?
