I prefer shoes with lights and velcro straps.

Tom M. sent in VLCRO (Velcro). He writes:

I can understand the "Animal Lover" vanity plate, but pledging your undying devotion to hook & loop technology? WTF?

Jennifer D. can also contribute to this phenomenon of drivers' devotions to hooks and loops:

LadyStyx too:

Because how else am I going to fasten these shoes?!

GEEEt out of my way!

Brian B. sent in MOVEEEET (Move it). Instead of using up your 8-character limit with those irritating extra Es, maybe you should have asked other drivers to move nicely, eh? MOVETPLZ?

I guess it is a vanity plate, and we should expect it to just be completely annoying.

I love this yarn SO MUCH.

How do I know crazy cat ladies are crazy? Well, back in May I write a post titled Ferfect on our site and added the word "ferfect" to the urban dictionary. Clearly, SOMEONE had an issue with that (see the definition directly below ferfect). Here is some FURther evidence of these people's cat craze:
From the official Crazy Cat Lady, Carm, comes the vanity plate PURRZ, which I know isn't referring to the noise of this car's engine, because she found it at a cat show.

BUFF CAT is from Amanda. She writes: Oh good, I hate when I get behind an overweight cat. The exhaust is brutal.

MEOWFUL is from Nancy. Her only comment was: Here's a new one fur ya. And do you see this license plate holder?!

CATSRCK (Cats rock) is from platty. Although, when I first saw it I thought of Cats 'n' Racks. Boobs and cats-- every man's dream. Speaking of which...

CAT-DAD is from Barb T. A very rare breed, indeed: The Crazy Cat Daddy.

Me-ow.

And because there was such an eeenormous number of theeese plates, I decided that I am going to post them all, rapid fire. WELCOME TO VANITEEE PLATE HEEELLLLLL. Not only are there 3 Es there are 2 As. Hhhhhh.

Just to be sure, use more Es.

Maybe you should get more SLEEEEP!
Well, I'm off to go claw my eyes out...

Originality. Priceless.

How unique are you if everyone else is doing the same exact thing? Well, I shouldn't say the exact same thing... vanity plates wouldn't be vanity plates without their creative interpretations and blatant misspellings. B UNEAK (Be unique) is from Meg G.

Yes, be unique, just like everybody else.

Jennifer D. sent us UN1QUE. Yes, we get it. The "1" is an "I" so.very.unique. Actually, we've seen this techn1que before.

Karl M. sent in YOU-NEEK with this accompanying joke: How do you catch a unique rabbit? You neek up on him!

One of the first submissions to our site was very UNEEK. Check it out!

You look like the 4th of July. That makes me want to have a hot dog real bad.

Happy 4th of July! And what better way to celebrate America's independence than by making fun of vanity plates. Our first plate comes to us from LadyStyx. Proud to be a Mrican.

51ST ST8 was send in by malmok. Note that this plate is from Ontario. Canada is like America's hat, no doot aboot it.
Arlynn sent us BORNUSA (BORN iN USA. I born in USA, but I don't speak very good English well. Do you like alternate two flags? Yes?

At least we still have the freedom to put whatever horrible phrase we want on our vanity plates. Thank you America. Now, get me that hot dog.

I got your Jeep thing. Now it burns when I pee.

Jeep owners are a unique breed, aren't they? Most of them sport those "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" decals across their windshields, and the only Jeep vanity plates I seem to get all mention that the car is, in fact, a Jeep. Zzzzz.

Let's get started shall we?
Our first comes from LadyStyx. I just want to clarify that this plate is on a Jeep. I UNDERSTAND, IT'S A JEEP.

Hhhhh.
Must. Use. Eight. Characters. JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP comes to us from Jennifer Deeeeee.

Sara S. sent in CJEEP GO.

Go Jeep, Go! Go out of my line of vision.

Okay, this driver gets a little credit for the ounce of creativity they somehow managed to squeeze from their Jeep dominated brain. EEP-J omescay omfray isLay. Eshay iteswray:

I saw this plate today and had to take the chance! While I guess it might fall into the "mildly humorous" category, since it was on a Jeep Cherokee the first thing that came to mind was "uh-day upid-stay!"

Osay uetray.

Crazy Mother Truckers

On the tails of yesterday's post, here we have GONCNTRY (Gone Country) sent into us by Jennifer D. She writes:

This is my first ever Platerratzi shot. I thought it was funny that I found this vehicle in the middle of Toronto - not exactly the country. Love your site.

BBGUNS comes to us from Five Tomatos. This one shot my eye out from just looking at it. An odd choice for a plate, but to each their own. Pass with caution!

Small end note: We've been enjoying the facebook fan love lately with all your "likes" and comments. The plate rage spreads and we love it. Thanks everyone!

211 days until the end of the year

Jennifer D. writes to us:

This one made me think of those "Priceless" MasterCard commercials." Personalized License Plate: $250. Never forgetting your anniversary: Priceless."

Really awesome plate! Did you know that June 3rd is the 154th day of the year? How exciting!! It's also Confederate Memorial Day(?), the day Garret Hobart, 24th Vice President of the United States, was born, AND the day I fell asleep in the middle of writing this post...

...zzzzz...

Ahem, sorry about that. JUN 3RD is almost as creative as this gem sent in by Kristin:

LCN PL8 = License plate. Stunning work!

Shut your pie hole

Yesterday was all about a different kind of pie (π), but today we are going to stick with real pie. You've got to be really into pie to put this stuff on a license plate. And really, is this what you want to be known for? Pie?

As Amercian as apple pie. What a second, does that say Ontario?

Man, I am starving...

Donna F. snapped LUVSPIE.

We'll Eat Your Brains!

From Wikipedia: A zombie is a person who behaves like human automaton (usually after being resurrected and stripped of their soul), most commonly seen in fiction as a reanimated human corpse.

Not one, TWO of these things. And they own a *cue scary voice* TOYOTA! The horror! *lightening strikes* *evil laugh* MUHUHEHAHAHA.

Tell me, Kolleen, was their driving a bit erratic?

They Didn't Have Ice Cube So He Bought Vanilla Ice

Vanessa P. writes to us:

A few years ago I was working at the cinema in my town. The parking lot is very small, and this guy was parked right in the middle so everyone else was blocked in.

I guess if you're too cool for school you can do whatever the hell you want. I like the fact that Vanessa has kept this photo for, "a few years." Once the plate rage takes hold of you, it will never let go. Find redemption my fellow readers! Submit your HLPs to us. It's like therapy. For free.

You're welcome.

Too Fast, Too Fidgety

Here are some plates that make me second guess your ability to drive, which is always a nice feeling. Watch your back, dear readers of this blog. There are some crazies on the roads.

Example #1DEADMN: If you aren't alive, you probably should not be driving. Check his pulse. Also, your bumper sticker, "CATS NOT KIDS," is quite disturbing. Actually, with an exception to the koala, they're all a little creepy.

Example #2
FIDGET: As defined by thefreedictionary.com - to behave or move nervously or restlessly. Sounds like a great driving quality. Quick, let's swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid that roadkill.

Example #3NO YES: Yes, we all love indecisiveness, don't we? Especially on the roads. Turn left! No, right! Take exit! Decide half a second later to not take the exit! Merge back onto interstate!

Examples #4 and #5
200-MPH and LV2XLR8: Speed kills. The submitter of 200-MPH claims this is a state issued plate. She also admits that people assume this driver can get her Honda Accord up to 200 MPH. For the record, I've tried it, and it's impossible. And expensive.

Love to accelerate? *shakes head in utter disappointment.

Examples #6 and #7
ASYLUM and PSYKOTIC: Mental insanity = not an ideal driving skill! Kolleen who sent in ASYLUM writes to us:

[ASYLUM] is actually my friend's car; he has had many stupid license plates, including DRAKKAR and DRKNSS. loser!

Thanks to everyone for making this endless post possible:
DEADMN: Heidi
FIDGET: Tammy
NO YES: Poetry Sue
200-MPH: Kati K.
LV2XLR8: Joanne H.
ASYLUM: Kolleen
