Times up! Yours will say PLATE1

I agree with Courtney E. (who sent BLANK to us) that this was probably the scene at the DMV that day:

Truck owner: Errr, how 'bout one of them vanity license plates?
DMV: Alright, that's an extra $20. And what would you like it to say?
Truck Owner: I just want it blank. haHA.
DMV [with an evil twinkle in her eye]: Blank it is. Move along.

Three weeks later Truck Owner receives his plate with “BLANK” on it.

And scene.
Our second creativity award goes to PLATE 1. Doesn't this remind you of all the times you've gone to a new page in Word and the program automatically calls it "Document 1"? I supposed they have MS Vanity Plate Creator at the Illinois DMV.

That's what you get for listening to a paperclip. Thanks for the submission Kati M.!

One time my mom ordered a plain pizza, meaning cheese, and got plain baked crust, no sauce, no cheese. I'm thinking that DMVs are a lot like pizza places in that way.

Fun fact about Illinois vanity plates: you have to pay extra if you don't want a number at the end of it for a car or at the beginning for a truck.

http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/vehicles/license_plate_guide/personalized.html

For some plates that works, for others it just makes them look like AOL screen names.

Which made me wonder how many of those bland Illinois plates were the same as the owners' AOL screen names / ISP account names / forum name etc.
